Best acceptance speech ever: Gollum wins 2003 MTV awards for The Two Towers

I recently finished watching the excellent Extended edition of the Lord of the Ring trilogy on DVD. What better way to honor this masterpiece than by watching this memorable excerpt from the 2003 MTV awards where Gollum himself picks up the award for Best Virtual Performance and "thanks" MTV, Andy Serkis, Peter Jackson and his team for his miserable experience shooting the movie by hurling angry, obscene abuse to all of them.

WARNING: strong (but bleeped-out) language.

Note: This clip can be fond as an Easter egg on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Extended Edition:

  1. On the first disc, go to the scene selection and then highlight chapter 30.
  2. Press down to reveal a ring.
  3. Press enter to see Gollum’s acceptance speech. :)
